Getting started
Autotap currently provides a desktop repeated-click tool and a browser extension for clicking, scrolling, and page refresh. Choose the version and action that matches your task, and test on a page or application where automation is permitted.
Desktop clicker: first run
- Open the Windows or macOS download page and follow its install instructions.
- Set the mouse button, click interval, and optional click limit in the desktop app.
- Position the pointer over the target and press F6 to start. Press F6 again to stop; verify that the status shows stopped.
- Use the CPS test to measure your own manual clicking speed separately. It does not measure or verify automated clicks.
Browser extension
- Install the extension using the instructions for Chrome, Brave, Edge, or Opera.
- Choose click-at-pointer, click-picked-element, auto scroll, or auto refresh and set the available interval or direction.
- Press Start in the extension popup. Use the on-page Stop control or Esc to stop a running action.
- Some browser pages block extensions; if so, use a normal website and check the status message in the extension.
Macro recording, multi-target sequences, form filling, and touch gestures are not included in the current downloads.
